These days it’s becoming increasingly common to see audio products launch with digital assistants built into them. This isn’t a bad thing because during the early days, there was pretty much only the Amazon Echo to choose from, but now we’re starting to get more options, with Libratone hopping onto the bandwagon.

The company has recently announced two brand new speakers in the form of the ZIPP 2 and the ZIPP MINI 2, and obviously based on their names, both speakers will be different in terms of size, but if there is one thing that they share in common, it would be that they will feature integration with Amazon’s Alexa.

This means that depending on your needs, you can pick the ZIPP MINI 2 if you want something small and unobtrusive, but offers up smart home control at the same time. However if sound quality is more your jam, then the larger ZIPP 2 will probably be a better choice. Both speakers will also feature Libratone’s 360 FullRoom sound feature, and can also be daisy chained with support for up to 10 speakers via AirPlay 2 or SoundSpace Link.

In terms of pricing, the ZIPP 2 will be the more expensive model at £279, while the ZIPP MINI 2 will be slightly cheaper at £229.
