Marshall has announced the launch of two new smart speakers at IFA 2018 in Berlin today. Both feature the familiar Marshall design language and Amazon Alexa support. The two models include the Acton II and the Stanmore II, the latter being larger and more powerful. With Alexa onboard, the smart speakers are capable of performing a wide variety of tasks, basically everything that you would expect from an Alexa-enabled device.

Marshall hasn’t revealed a lot of details about the new Alexa-enabled speakers at this point in time. Their predecessors featured Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support so that’s likely onboard as well in addition to multiroom and Chromecast compatibility. That’s standard fare from a smart speaker these days.

Aside from the signature look that we have come to expect from Marshall’s audio products, these speakers also feature custom drivers and class D amps for an enhanced sound experience. Marshall confirmed today the pricing and release information for the two new speakers.

The Acton II is going to cost $299 while the larger and more powerful Stanmore II will cost $399. Pre-orders for the Acton II start on October 2nd with availability on November 9th while the Stanmore II is available for pre-order today and will be delivered to customers on October 2nd.
