Gamescom 2018 will be kicking off in the next couple of days, and at the event we expect that there will be a bunch of new announcements and showcases from various developers and publishers. In fact Blizzard themselves are expected to make several announcements, such as new Overwatch content.

The company has recently confirmed their schedule for Gamescom 2018 where they will be hosting an Overwatch presentation, in which during the 30 minute presentation, the company is expected to reveal new content that will be coming to the game. Given that the company had previously revealed Overwatch’s latest hero, we have to wonder what else they might announce.

It is possible that we could be looking at new maps and game modes, but we’ll just have to wait and see. Other announcements that Blizzard will be making will cover games such as StarCraft, World of Warcraft, Heroes of the Storm, and Diablo (where Blizzard had earlier confirmed that they had multiple Diablo projects in the works).

We’re not sure if all these announcements will feature new content or if Blizzard will simply update gamers on the state of things so far. We also imagine that Blizzard will probably want to save some announcements for BlizzCon 2018 which will kick off in November, but either way check back with us in the coming days for updates.
