Amazon’s cashierless store pilot is picking up steam. It opened the first Amazon Go cashierless store earlier this year and opened the second location in Seattle just this week. The company has now confirmed that it’s going to open a new Amazon Go location in New York City. The confirmation comes after a few job listings were spotted which suggested that the company would soon launch an Amazon Go location in the city.

The company has confirmed to TechCrunch that it’s going to open an Amazon Go in New York. The spokesperson didn’t provide any further details so it’s unclear where this store will be located and when it’s going to be ready. At least is confirmed that it intends to do this, eliminating the need for people to guess whether or not an Amazon Go store would be opened in NYC.

The first store was located on the ground floor of Amazon’s building in Seattle. The second location is near the Seattle Central Library at 920 Fifth Ave. No word as yet on where the New York City store will be located.

The shopping experience will be the same in these stores. Customers swipe a code on their devices through the Amazon Go app as they enter. They just pick up the items they want and walk out. The bill is generated automatically and charged to the credit card on file.
