Thanks to leaked retail packaging the other day, it was been hinted at that the OnePlus 6T will feature a considerably smaller notch compared to its predecessor. Now a render has been revealed which was posted onto Weibo by user 老爆科技 which seems to confirm what the packaging hinted at.

The render, which we can’t be sure is the real deal or just a fan-made render based on the packaging’s diagram, shows the phone in a red finish, an edge-to-edge display, and a small raindrop notch which seems to be similar to a previously released Oppo phone. For those who dislike the notch, then we guess this is good news since this notch is much smaller.

Previously with the launch of the OnePlus 6, the company said that users would learn to love the notch, but the fact that the notch is smaller in the OnePlus 6T seems to suggest that the company is trying to make it as small and invisible as possible. The renders also seem to confirm a triple camera setup on the back, and given that we don’t see any visible fingerprint sensor, we could also be looking at an in-display sensor.

Take it with a grain of salt for now but we expect that OnePlus should be announcing the handset in the next month or so.
