Gaming phones seem to be a trend that we’re seeing these days, and ASUS has thrown their hat into the ring with the ROG Phone. If you think that the ROG Phone is something you might be interested in, then you’ll be pleased to learn that ASUS has started taking pre-orders for the handset.

The handset will be available through websites such as Amazon and Microsoft where it will be priced at $900. At that price the ASUS ROG Phone is definitely not cheap considering that there are plenty of other cheaper and powerful phones out there. For the most part the ROG Phone has the specs of a flagship, including a Snapdragon 845 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage.

However there are some added advantages, such as special cooling system that will attempt to keep the phone’s temperatures down when playing games and using intensive apps. The phone will also feature a display that will have a 90Hz refresh rate, which is slightly lower than the Razer Phone’s 120Hz but it’s still higher than most phones. We’re also looking at a 4,000mAh battery that should let you use it for extended periods of time before needing  another recharge.

The ASUS ROG Phone will also come with a 12MP rear-facing camera, an 8MP front-facing camera, and will run on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
