Blizzard has been pretty clear about its ambitions for eSports, and Overwatch is a good example of that. Now if you’re a fan of eSports and love following games and events, Blizzard has announced the launch of the Blizzard Esports app which will help gamers keep track of various eSport events and competitions.

According to Blizzard, “For the first time ever, esports content from all of Blizzard’s games can be found in one place, on both Android and iOS devices. Download the app and follow the esports that you choose. Push notifications will let you know when events go live, so you’ll never again miss a match.”

However as you might have surmised, this app will only track eSport events that are based on Blizzard’s games. This means that if you follow other games such as DOTA 2 or CS:GO then this app won’t be as useful, but if you’re an avid fan of Blizzard’s games and love watching Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, and Overwatch eSport events, then this app will come in handy.

Blizzard notes that they do have plans to expand the app over time, so maybe it could eventually cover other games or come with additional features at a later date. The app is a free download for both iOS and Android devices, so head on over to the respective app stores for the download.
