RTS games these days aren’t quite as common as back in the day, when titles like Age of Empires, StarCraft, Red Alert, and Command & Conquer were some of the heavy hitters as far as games were concerned. Now over the years we’ve seen how EA has been showing signs of interest in the Command & Conquer franchise.

Just a few months ago, the company launched a mobile version of the game, but it seems that they’re not quite done yet. In fact that company has teased that they might be launching a remaster of the game. In a post on Reddit, EA Producer Jim Vessella revealed that the company is exploring the idea of remastering Command & Conquer in celebration of the franchise turning 25 years old.

Vessella writes, “As most of you may know, we recently announced Command & Conquer: Rivals, a mobile game set in the Command & Conquer universe. Following the reveal of Rivals, we heard you loud and clear: the Command & Conquer community also wants to see the franchise return to PC. And as a fan of C&C for over 20 years, I couldn’t agree more. With that in mind we’ve been exploring some exciting ideas regarding remastering the classic PC games, and already have the ball rolling on our first effort to celebrate the upcoming 25th Year Anniversary.”

It seems that EA is still in the exploratory stages of the game meaning that it could be a while before we see anything concrete, but what do you guys think? Is anyone interested in seeing some of the classic Command & Conquer titles remastered for modern day PCs?
