At Huawei’s event in London earlier today, the company unveiled the Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, and also the Porsche Design Mate 20 RS. However it seems that was not all the company had planned because towards the end, they also announced another handset in the form of the Mate 20 X.

If the Mate 20 X sounds familiar, it is because Huawei had previously teased the handset ahead of its launch, where the phone was designed to be a gaming smartphone. For the most part the Mate 20 X will feature the same specs as the rest of Huawei’s Mate 20 lineup, but there will be some differences.

One of those differences is in its display, where the Mate 20 X will feature a massive 7.2-inch OLED screen. There will also be a massive 5,000mAh battery, and also a vapor chamber cooling design that together with graphene film will help “deliver outstanding cooling performance”.

Interestingly enough despite its larger display and battery and cooling system, the Huawei Mate 20 X will actually be priced lower than the Mate 20 Pro at €899. It is expected to launch a little later on the 26th of October (about 10 days after the Mate 20 Pro is launched) so keep an eye out for it if this is something you might be interested in.
