Ever since they were launched, Microsoft has been shipping Xbox One S and Xbox One X consoles with a warning sticker on the front. The sticker cautioned console owners to not move their Xbox One without first removing any disc inside it. There has been a #teamnosticker movement on social media to get Microsoft to stop shipping consoles with this sticker and the company has given in to the demand. There will be no need to remove the front sticker on Xbox One consoles because they will no longer be shipping with one.

The confirmation of this minor change came from Xbox boss Phil Spencer and corporate vice president Mike Ybarra on Twitter. They confirmed that #teamnosticker has prevailed and that new Xbox One S and Xbox One X consoles will now be shipped without the front sticker going forward.

Online forums are filled with posts from people complaining about the sticker. Most thought that it ruined the clean look of the console’s front. Others were apprehensive about peeling it off because they feared that it might leave a residue which would be difficult to get rid off.

There will be no such dilemma for Microsoft’s console owners from now on as all units will be shipped without the front sticker. GG, #teamnosticker.
