Earlier Huawei had unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro. However it seems that’s not all the company had to announce as they have also taken the wraps off the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 20 RS. As the name implies, this handset has been designed in collaboration with Porsche Design.

However it should be noted that for the most part, the handset in question at its core is still the Mate 20, so whatever specs the Mate 20 has, so does this phone. This means that we can expect the same Kirin 980 chipset along with a triple camera setup on the back in the same array as the Mate 20. This will consist of a 40MP main camera, a 20MP Leica Ultra Wide Angle Lens, and an 8MP telephoto camera.

However like we said, it is still the Mate 20 under the hood and the focus here would be on the handset’s design. It will feature the use of leather and glass and a racing stripe at the back which we imagine is a nod to Porsche and its cars. It does exude a somewhat classy and luxurious feel thanks to the use of leather and also the somber colors, so if you like the Mate 20 but would prefer it in a different design, this could be one option to look at.

In terms of pricing, the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model will retail for €1,695, while the 8GB RAM and 512GB storage model will go for €2,095.
