Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be coming out soon and as most hardcore Smash players would advise, playing the game on a GameCube controller is the best way to enjoy the game, and the good news is that it looks like the game will support GameCube controllers. However we imagine that some players might run into issues with connecting the controllers to their Switch.

If you own wired GameCube controllers, then obviously you know that you can’t just plug it into the Switch. However the good news is that the folks at 8BitDo have recently launched an accessory called the GBros. Wireless Adapter that will give your controller wireless capabilities. It is essentially a Bluetooth adapter where you plug your controller into it and it will pair wirelessly with your Switch.

Unfortunately this isn’t exactly a “true” wireless connection since the controller still has a wire, but at the very least it means you won’t have to sit right in front of your TV and console to play the game. 8BitDo claims that the adapter will provide up to 30 hours of battery life and can be charged via a USB-C cable, or 2x AA batteries, whichever you prefer.

The adapter is priced at $20 and will be shipping on the 7th of December, the same day that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be released. Gamers who are interested in the accessory can pre-order it via Amazon.
