It has been two years since Sony launched the PlayStation 4 Pro, the most powerful console it has ever made. Many had complained about the console being too noisy and that’s something that Sony has addressed in a hardware revision. It has quietly rolled out a new PlayStation 4 Pro model that doesn’t make as much noise as the original one did.

Eurogamer reports that the new CUH-7200 series of the PlayStation 4 Pro has an updated internal design which significantly addresses the noise problem to make it the quietest PS4 Pro model yet.

This particular model only appears to be available with the Red Dead Redemption 2 bundle at this point in time but it may not be long before the newer model is available on its own. Sony mentions the model number on the front of the console’s package so it’s easy to ascertain which model you’re getting. Red Dead Redemption 2 bundles with the CUH-7216B designation come with this model.

The core power package of the console remains the same. It’s not like customers with the launch model will have a PS4 Pro that doesn’t perform as well as this model those. Sony has simply made some tweaks to the internal design and other components to make the machine quieter.
