Several days ago it was rumored that a remake of Crash Team Racing could be announced at the Game Awards 2018. For those who grew up with and are fans of the original Crash Team Racing, you’ll be very pleased to know that Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled has been officially announced.

The game is basically a remaster of the original Crash Team Racing, so if you’ve ever played the game before, then it is more or less the same except that it has been updated with modern graphics to suit modern day consoles, which you can see for yourself in the trailer above. According to Activision, they claim that they have built the game from the ground up, so it’s more than just slapping new graphics on it.

It’s not surprising that the game was announced given that the Crash Bandicoot franchise has been revived. The game will feature both offline and online play, and will be launching on the 21st of June, 2019. The good news is that it looks like the game will not be exclusive to Sony’s PlayStation platform, and will be released for the PS4, the Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch where it is expected to be priced at $40.
