Motorola has reached out to confirm that it’s now releasing the much awaited Android 9 Pie update for the Motorola One and Moto X4 in the United States. The successor to Oreo brings a variety of new features to these handsets. That’s in addition to the user interface improvements introduced by the company. Motorola has also updated the official support page on its website to reflect the roll out of this update.

The Motorola One and Moto X4 Android Pie update brings new features such as Intuitive Navigation and an improved Do Not Disturb mode. Android Pie also delivers improvements for the battery life, a revamped split-screen mode, and other enhancements.

User interface tweaks include a redesigned Quick Settings, more simple volume controls, easier notification management, and more. Aside from the Android Pie update, the Moto X4 will also receive the Alexa Hands-Free feature before the end of this year. This experience will work with the Amazon Alexa app and will let users access features like messaging and calling hands free.

It has been a few hours since Motorola started rolling out the Pie update for the aforementioned devices in the United States. Those who haven’t received an over-the-air update notification as yet can expect to get one in the near future.
