Lenovo is back with an AMOLED 2-in-1 laptop which seems to be aimed at Creative users. The Lenovo Yoga C730 is a high-end laptop that is the second OLED laptop from the brand, the first one being the X1 Yoga Gen3 with OLED which we previously reviewed.
It’s great to see a couple of 15.6” laptops with OLED displays at CES, and this may hint that one of the major OLED panel producers (LG?) is ramping up production for this particular format…
The Yoga C730 has an anodized aluminum chassis which is a little bit bigger than its Yoga C930 or Yoga S940 cousins. It is also a little heavier, weighing 4.16lbs, which is relatively normal for a 15.6” computer.
Since its aimed at Creative users, it only comes with a 4K display option. Interestingly enough, all PC OEMs using OLED promote the fact that OLED emits less “blue light” than LCD displays, and thus might be a healthier option in terms of eye fatigue.
Of course, a Lenovo Active Pen 2 that offers 4,096 levels of sensitivity is included so users can get started right away. While graphic designers worldwide may start drooling now, it’s sad to learn that this computer will NOT be sold in the USA.
