If you’re looking forward to what could possibly be the last season of Marvel’s The Punisher series on Netflix, then you might be interested to learn that the latest trailer for the upcoming second season has since been released which gives us a glimpse as to what we might be able to expect.
Earlier this year Netflix had confirmed that the second season for the series would be launching on the 18th of January, 2018, and this trailer gives us some scenes from the season. It is widely expected that Jigsaw will be the main antagonist for the series, and it will see characters such as Curtis Hoyle and Karen Page return, although from what we can tell it seems that Micro won’t.
Now we say that this could possibly be the last season of The Punisher simply because of the way Netflix has been approaching its Marvel shows. They cancelled Iron Fist and Luke Cage which wasn’t surprising as both had lukewarm responses, but the surprising decision was when they cancelled Daredevil which was arguably one of their better performers.
This has led to speculation that either Marvel wants their characters back, or Netflix just wants to unload all their Marvel shows, but either way it does not bode well for The Punisher or Jessica Jones, whose third season is currently in production.
