#CES2019 – Laptops are great devices for on the go, but usually the emphasis placed on these devices is portability and not so much on power. However for those who need the power for gaming or maybe video editing, Samsung might have something for you. The company has announced its latest gaming notebook with the Samsung Notebook Odyssey.

This is Samsung’s take on gaming laptops and it is actually not the company’s first time launching such a device. However this particular model is designed differently from its predecessors so if you thought the older designs were a bit weird, hopefully this will be more to your liking.

As for specs, we’re looking at the use of Intel’s Core i7 chipset. The laptop also comes with 16GB of RAM, 256GB of NVMe SSD storage, the use of an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 GPU, and will also sport a 15.6-inch Full HD 144Hz G-Sync display. Samsung is also boasting redesigned Jet Blade blowers with 83 blades each, and the use of a new penta-pipe cooling system that will help keep the laptop cool under intensive tasks.

Samsung has not mentioned pricing just yet, but it is expected to be made available early this year in the US before it expands to other markets, so we’ll keep our eyes peeled for additional information.
