Microsoft talks about the future of Windows at its annual Build conference. Many look forward to the event to see what software advancements Redmond has to share. It has now confirmed the dates for Build 2019. The event will kick off on May 6th this year at the Washington State Convention Center at its home city of Seattle.

Microsoft’s Build 2019 developer conference will start on May 6th and run through to May 8th. The company is holding it in Seattle like last year. That’s not the only similarity with the past. The dates are once again clashing with Google’s I/O developer conference.

The company is going to open registrations for Build 2019 on February 27th and it will also post the agenda around the same time. Expect to see major Windows-related announcements during the keynote. It also uses the Build stage to talk more about the improvements that it has been cooking up for other services like Azure, Office, and more.

We may also get to hear more about the “Windows Lite” that Microsoft has been working on. It’s a lighter version of the company’s operating system for users don’t require all of the power of a Windows desktop and are willing to make that trade in return for more portable devices that are capable of running Windows apps.
