These days we’re starting to see more companies launch smarter kitchen appliances and gadgets, such as microwave ovens with built-in digital assistants, or fridges that are smart enough to let us know when we need to make a trip to the grocery store. However Samsung thinks that they have a better idea: robotic arms.

The company recently took the wraps off what appears to be a set of robotic arms designed for kitchen use. This was shown off at the 2019 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show in Las Vegas where these robotic arms are being envisioned as an assistant for the kitchen, where it can help you do different things. This includes cooking, adding seasoning, or even cutting meat.

It will also accept recipes which means that these robotic arms will move with a precision that humans probably will find it hard to master unless they work professionally in a kitchen. Apart from a being a nifty feature, Samsung claims that these robotic arms will also be useful for those who might be disabled and need some assistance when it comes to cooking.

Unfortunately it seems that we probably can’t expect to see these robotic arms launch anytime soon as they aren’t available for purchase yet. However Samsung claims that this is one of their visions for a smarter home, so perhaps we might see them in the next few years.
