While much of the attention and focus has been on the upcoming release of Avengers: Endgame, let’s not forget that at the end of the year, Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker will be released, and to celebrate the upcoming movie, the official teaser trailer has been made available online.

The trailer doesn’t really tell us much given that this is more of a teaser, but it does show us how Rey is starting to grow into her own and accept her role as a Jedi. We get catch glimpses of the other characters in the movie, such as Finn, Poe, Kylo Ren, and also what appears to be an image of the Death Star. It will be interesting to see what role the Death Star plays in this particular Star Wars trilogy.

The release of Star Wars: Episode IX will mark the final movie in the current trilogy, a series that has been long in the making and for some, helps to erase the earlier attempts at creating a prequel. So far the current trilogy has been pretty well-received by the masses, with Disney attempting to milk the interest by releasing side Star Wars movies, such as Rogue One and Solo.

Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker is currently slated for a release on the 20th of December, so mark those dates down if you are interested in checking it out.
