Microsoft has been working on the Mac version of its Edge web browser for several months now. The company has finally released a preview version of the browser so that those who are interested in testing it out can see just how far along this project has come. Microsoft is now letting Mac users to download a preview version of Edge for macOS.

The Edge for Mac browser had also been leaked early during Microsoft’s Build conference. Microsoft has been supported the daily Canary builds of Edge for Mac now for macOS 10.12 and up. The company adds that it will make the weekly Dev channel builds available “very soon” and that users will be able to run both of the builds simultaneously to better compare them.

The improvements that it has added to the browser so far include support for Mac keyboard shortcuts and even the Touch Bar which is present on select MacBook models. It has even added the ability to switch between tabs from the Touch Bar. Users will also notice rounded corners for tabs in the macOS version and Microsoft is going to apply the same UI changes to the Windows version of its Edge browser as well.

Those who are interested in checking it out can now download the Edge for macOS preview from the company’s official website. It hasn’t been confirmed right now precisely when this browser’s stable version will be released for the public.
