There’s always something about devices that are always listening that doesn’t quite sit right with people who worry a lot about their data privacy. However, that has not prevented smart assistant-enabled devices from becoming very popular over the past couple of years. In a step that will be appreciated by many, Amazon is now allowing users to command Alexa to delete all of their voice recordings from that particular day.

Amazon today announced that it’s introducing a new and easier way to delete your voice recordings on all Alexa-enabled devices. You just have to say “Alexa, delete everything I said today” and all of the recordings from that day will be deleted.

This can prove to be very helpful when you want to delete things that Alexa was asked but you’d not rather have them be a part of your Alexa search history. The feature will let you make sure that all of those recordings from throughout the day are deleted in response to a single voice command.

Amazon has also said that it will soon allow users to selectively delete their queries as well by saying “Alexa, delete what I just said.” This will prompt the digital assistant to automatically delete the last request that it received from the user.
