Truecaller is a popular service that’s used by millions of people across the globe to screen calls. It has a massive database of numbers so incoming calls can be filtered through the list to let the user know who’s calling them as well as block calls from spammers and strangers. The Stockholm-based company is now expanding the app’s functionality by providing free VoIP voice calls.

It promises that Truecaller Voice will offer a clear, crisp, and high-quality call experience even with low data or Wi-Fi coverage. This also means that users will need fewer apps for voice calling. If they’re already using Truecaller to screen their calls, they don’t need to use another service just for VoIP.

However, there’s no support for group calling right now, so it will only be possible to place calls between two users. However, it does plan on adding support for that too in the near future. The company says that this functionality will soon be released for the iOS app as well.

The Truecaller dialer is already quite popular as it’s used for over 180 million phone calls daily. The company noted that half of the calls were to other Truecaller users which is why it makes perfect sense to offer this service.
