Now that Marvel has officially confirmed their plans for the MCU’s fourth phase, we’re sure that there are many questions remaining. For example, what happened to the sequels to Captain Marvel and Black Panther? Also, what about Marvel’s plans for the X-Men and Fantastic Four, now that Disney has acquired Fox?

For those who are fans of those franchises, you can rest assured that Marvel has definitely not forgotten about them. Marvel’s panel at the San Diego Comic-Con was mostly to announce plans for Phase 4, but towards the end, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige hinted at how the other movies are being worked on.

Feige was quoted as saying, “So this is Phase 4, thank you. Now there’s a lot of other stuff we didn’t get to talk about today. We didn’t even mention that we’re making Black Panther 2. We didn’t mention the fact that Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is coming. We didn’t have time to talk about Captain Marvel 2, by the way. I didn’t even have time to talk about the Fantastic Four. And there’s no time left to talk about mutants.”

As to when these movies will debut remains to be seen, but we could be in for a wait. This is because the last Phase 4 movie, which is Thor: Love and Thunder, is set for a release in November 2021, so any Phase 5 movies will most likely come after that.
