Announced back in May earlier this year, Activision’s next Call of Duty title will be called Modern Warfare. One of the features of the game is support for cross-platform, meaning that gamers can play with other gamers on other platforms, such as PC, PS4, and the Xbox One. However, the question is, when will the feature be launched?

The good news is that if crossplay is a feature that you’ve been eagerly anticipating, you’ll be pleased to learn that Activision has confirmed that Modern Warfare will support crossplay at the start. This means that gamers won’t need to wait for a patch or an update that will enable the feature.

This is slightly different from how other games launched, where crossplay support is added after the game has launched. However, as more games are starting to add crossplay support, we expect that this is a trend that will continue. That being said, as Game Rant has pointed out, there might be some who might not appreciate crossplay support.

This is because there are some who feel that console gamers playing against PC gamers is unfair as PC gamers get to play with keyboard and mouse, which arguably offers better controls. In any case, we’ll have to wait and see how this pans out. Modern Warfare is currently set for a release on the 25th of October, 2019.
