Disney+ is expected to launch later this year and if you are planning on subscribing to the service, you might be interested to learn that the streaming service will be available on multiple platforms at launch. This means that you’ll be able to watch it across multiple devices from the get go.
This includes Apple TV, Android, Android TV, Chromecast, desktop-based web browsers, iPad, iPhone, PlayStation 4, Roku, Roku TV, and the Xbox One. It has been pointed out that Amazon’s streaming devices like the Amazon Fire TV have been conspicuously left off the list, but there is a chance that it could be added later.
After all, these are just the devices that will be supported at launch, so we imagine that over time, more platforms will be eventually supported. Disney+ will be initially launched in the US, but it is expected to expand to cover markets such as Canada, the Netherlands, Australia, and New Zealand in November. The company plans to eventually expand more international markets in the next two years, so if you don’t live in those regions, it looks like you’re out of luck.
The service will be priced at $6.99 a month or $69.99 if you plan to pay it annually. There will also be a bundle for $12.99 a month that will include Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+.
