Just yesterday we heard rumors that Amazon could be planning on launching their own set of wireless earbuds with Alexa built into them. It turns out that the rumors were true because Amazon has since officially unveiled a bunch of new Echo devices, one of which is the Echo Buds.

According to Amazon, the Echo Buds are a set of wireless earbuds that will come with two outer microphones and one inner microphone per earbud. It has been designed this way so that regardless of where you are, you will still be able to call upon Alexa using your voice. In fact, it seems that Amazon has beaten Apple to the punch with noise-cancellation technology that they sourced from Bose.

It will also feature an IPX4 rating which means that it is somewhat water-resistant where splashes, sweat, or light rain should not damage the device. Amazon is also boasting that the Echo Buds will last up to 5 hours with each charge, and its accompanying carrying case will come with three additional charges.

We had previously heard that Amazon could price the headphones under $100 to keep it competitive, but that rumor did not pan out as the Echo Buds are actually priced at $130, which is actually not too bad.
