One of the ways Apple has been trying to position the iPad Pro has a productivity device is with the introduction of the Smart Keyboard, essentially transforming the tablet into a pseudo laptop of sorts. Apple then upped their game by announcing that with iPadOS 13, they will finally be bringing support for mice.

This is more of an accessibility, but the good news is that it looks like some accessory makers plan to take advantage of it. Take for example the Libra keyboard accessory for the iPad Pro. Launched on Kickstarter, its creators are boasting that this will be the world’s first keyboard for the iPad that will come with a built-in trackpad.

This means that if you wanted to convert your iPad into a laptop replacement, the built-in trackpad means that you should be able to do that just fine without the need for an external mouse. While we can’t speak to the overall feel of the Libra keyboard, the built-in trackpad will no doubt appeal to those might have need for it.

The keys themselves will feature backlighting and it will also come with a magnetic cover for the back of your tablet, thus protecting the back and front of your laptop at the same time. According to its creators, they are claiming that it will last for up to 200 days with its built-in 4,000mAh battery, and thanks to its USB-C port, it will also be capable of charging your iPhone or iPad in a pinch. If you’d like to back the project, then head on over to its Kickstarter page for the details.
