Elon Musk, in a tweet, revealed that the Tesla Model S set a track record for the fastest 4-door at California’s Laguna Seca racetrack. He also mentioned that the video will be uploaded next.

This may not be a big deal for car enthusiasts in general – but after the recent clash with Porsche’s new electric car (Taycan), Elon Musk is aiming to beat the record set by Porsche as the fastest 4-door at the infamous Nürburgring race track in Germany. When someone asked about this on Twitter, Elon Musk confirmed it that it is already there.

He also added, “But we probably won’t try for best lap time this week, as we need to review & tune Model S thoroughly for safety on Nürburgring, especially Flugplatz section. The testing is not going to happen anytime soon.”

So, they are going to tune their car for the race track and then head down for the test. In addition to this, he also responded to Youtuber  MKBHD that the Roadster is also planned for the test next year. By this response, a lot of folks are now curious to what’s Elon up to with the Tesla Model S.

Even though Elon Musk’s confident, do you think the Tesla Model S will be able to beat the German automaker’s all-electric beast? It will be exciting to see what is coming next. What do you think?
