Over the years, as our games got more complex and more high-resolution, their install sizes also got a lot bigger. However, could Call of Duty: Modern Warfare be taking things too far? According to an official listing for the PC version of the game on Battle.net, it has been discovered that the install size of the game could take up a whopping 175GB on PCs.

This is almost unheard of as the majority of games rarely cross that mark, although as Eurogamer notes, Final Fantasy 15 on the PC came close with 148GB, while Red Dead Redemption 2 came in at 150GB, but for the most part, like we said, most games don’t take up that much storage.

There is a chance that this could be a misprint where it might be less than what is currently listed, but for now the 175GB storage space requirement is still up which means that it probably is the real deal. If you are planning on getting your hands on the game, then you’ll want to make sure that you have that much space available. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is expected to be released on the 25th of October, 2019 and it is currently available for pre-order via the Battle.net website.
