Apple recently put its new Pro Display XDR up for sale. This is clearly not a monitor aimed at casual users because at an asking price of $5,000, it definitely puts it well out of reach for the vast majority of customers who might not necessarily have the need or see the need to spend so much money.

However, for those who are planning to get the Pro Display XDR, you might want to take note because in a support document published on Apple’s website, the company has pretty much warned users that the display can only be cleaned with the polishing cloth that comes bundled with the monitor.

The support document writes, “Use only the dry polishing cloth that comes with your display to wipe dust or smudges off the screen. Don’t add water or use other liquids to clean the nano-texture glass.” They also warn to “never use any other cloths” to clean the nano-texture glass, and that if you were to lose the polishing cloth, you will need to contact Apple to get a replacement (although we have no idea how much this will cost).

So if you are planning on buying the $5,000 Pro Display XDR, you’ll want to keep this in mind lest you end up scratching or damaging the display, which if we had to guess, will not come cheap in terms of getting a replacement.
