Google Assistant is Google’s digital assistant, but unlike other digital assistants like Siri, Google Assistant has the added advantage of allowing the user to type to it. This means that if you’d rather not speak to it using your voice, maybe it’s not particularly convenient, you won’t have to as you can type in your query.

Now it looks like Google is expanding on the function where similar to Google search, it seems that in the future, Google Assistant might be able to support autocomplete suggestions. In case you’re not sure what we mean, basically when you type something into Google search, Google will toss out a list of potential search queries that it thinks you might be referring to.

This helps speed up the search process and in a way, also lets you know that you might be onto something. This is a feature that Google seems to be interested in bringing to Google Assistant where users can quickly complete their queries to Google Assistant in a similar manner. It should be noted that this autocomplete feature was discovered in the beta version of the Google app for Android.

If you’re running the public build of the Google app, then you won’t see it. We’re not sure when Google plans on rolling out the feature, but if it’s in the beta, then perhaps we won’t have to wait too long for it.
