Lenovo Is Now Selling Its ThinkPad Laptop Keyboard As A Standalone Accessory

When it comes to laptops, the focus is mostly on portability. As such, certain compromises need to be made, such as with the keyboard where they tend to be slim and offer up low travel when pressing the keys. However, this doesn’t mean that all laptop keyboards are bad, in fact, Lenovo’s ThinkPad laptops are rated to have some of the better keyboards around.

If you love the ThinkPad keyboards and wouldn’t mind getting your hands on it for your desktop computer, you’re in luck as Lenovo has announced the ThinkPad TrackPoint Keyboard II keyboard accessory. This is basically the ThinkPad’s keyboard but it can now be used as a standalone keyboard that you can attach to your desktop or even your laptop if you prefer.

While low-profile keyboards aren’t new, what makes Lenovo’s offering so different and unique is the fact that it comes with the trademark TrackPoint so that you don’t even need to use a mouse if you’d rather not. There are also some mouse buttons built into it as well. The keyboard will connect to devices using either 2.4Ghz wireless connectivity or Bluetooth 5, and according to Lenovo, it will offer up to two months of battery life on a single charge.

The Lenovo ThinkPad TrackPoint Keyboard II will be available starting this May where it will be priced at $99.99.
