According to the rumors from back in 2019, it was suggested that Apple could be working on new keyboards for their MacBook Pro laptops. This was later confirmed to be true when the 16-inch MacBook Pro was launched. The rumors also suggested that these changes will arrive in 2020 for the 13-inch models.

For those who are holding out for the 13-inch model and don’t want to pay so much money for the 16-inch model, you could be in luck because according to new filings made to the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), it seems that Apple has filed for a new unreleased product for a “portable personal computer”.

While in no way does this confirm that this is the 13-inch MacBook Pro with the new Magic Keyboard, we wouldn’t be surprised if it were. After all, it seems like it’s only a matter of time before Apple updates its laptops with the new keyboard mechanism. So far reviews of the 16-inch MacBook Pro and its new Magic Keyboard have been largely positive.

The previously rumors had also stated the refreshed 13-inch MacBook Pros with the new keyboard could arrive in the early part of 2020, so we shouldn’t have to wait too long to get official confirmation.
