Back in 2019 we saw the first 5G smartphones hit the market, but unfortunately, it was rather quiet on the tablet scene. However, if you’re in the market for a 5G tablet, you might be interested to learn that Samsung has confirmed that come the first quarter of 2020, the company will be releasing what they are calling the world’s first 5G tablet.

This comes in the form of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 5G which will be initially launching in Korea before we imagine it makes its way to other parts of the world. In terms of specs, the tablet will be pretty much the same as the regular Galaxy Tab S6 with the main difference being that it supports 5G connectivity.

In case you’re hearing about the tablet for the first time, we’re talking about the use of a 10.5-inch 2560×1600 display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset under the hood. It will also be offered in 6GB or 8GB RAM options, and also 128GB or 256GB storage options. That being said, for a tablet launching in 2020, we’re not sure if Samsung plans on keeping those specs or if they will be making some upgrades.

In any case, if you’re interested in getting your hands on the tablet, hopefully more details about its availability in other parts of the world will be revealed in the coming months.
