When it comes to RPGs, Baldur’s Gate is one of the more popular and beloved franchises around, and there is no doubt that many gamers were probably a little bummed out when the game officially came to an end after two releases (not including expansions). However, last year, it was officially announced that Baldur’s Gate 3 is in development.

The bad news is that there was no mention as to when the game will be released, but now we think we have an idea. In a community post made on the Google Stadia forums, it seems that the company might have accidentally confirmed when Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released. If true, the good news is that it will be arriving this year.

According to the post, “You’re already looking forward to DOOM Eternal, Get Packed, Orcs Must Die! 3, Baldur’s Gate 3 and many more games coming to Stadia this year. Now, get set to explore the inner workings of a child’s memories, or leap into arcade chaos with your friends with a trio of titles making their debut on Stadia this spring and summer…before they land anywhere else. First on Stadia.”

The post still remains up and has not been edited to remove mention of Baldur’s Gate, which means that either Google does not know yet or it is accurate. Since this is hardly an official confirmation, you should probably take it with a grain of salt for now. The upcoming Baldur’s Gate 3 title will be made by Larian Studios, the developer behind Divinity: Original Sin 2.
