A popular rumor is suggesting that Apple’s iPhone 12 event could take place in October. As we are approaching the end of September and there is still no official word from Apple just yet, it’s safe to assume that October seems like the most likely candidate. Now it looks like those rumors have been “confirmed”.

According to MacRumors, they have managed to get their hands on what is apparently an internal video presentation by the CEO of British carrier British Telecom. According to the company’s CEO Marc Allera, “We are just days away from Apple’s next major launch, a 5G iPhone, which will be a huge boost for 5G. Teams in all parts of Consumer have been preparing all year to win this launch, and be Europe’s number one partner for Apple.”

The video also apparently seems to feature an appearance by Apple’s services chief, Eddy Cue, who praised EE (one of the carriers under British Telecom) for being the first carrier to offer smartphone plans bundled with Apple services like Apple Music, Apple Arcade, and more. The appearance by Cue does seem to lend some credibility to those claims.

Why “days away” might not necessarily be accurate, the iPhone 12’s launch does seem to be close at hand so check back with us in the coming weeks where hopefully we’ll have more details to share.
