Last year, Microsoft announced their dual screen Android smartphone, the Surface Duo. For those who have been eagerly anticipating the device, you’ll be pleased to learn that Microsoft has finally made the handset available for order, although at a price point of $1,399, it will not come cheap.

In terms of specs, it seems that Microsoft has opted to use some 2019 hardware. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 instead of the 865, which is a bit disappointing, especially considering the price that the company is asking for it. It will also be accompanied by 6GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and will also feature an 11MP camera.

However, we suppose while it uses last year’s tech, the selling point of the device would be the fact that it comes with dual 5.6-inch displays which when combined, will give users an 8.1-inch 3:2 display ratio tablet-like experience. Granted it isn’t as seamless as the Samsung Galaxy Fold, but the fact that it uses two separate displays should help make it more durable.

The phone also runs on Android which is good news for those who prefer Google’s operating system and who might have otherwise been worried that it would be powered by Windows 10. The phone will be available through the major carriers, although its lack of 5G is also a tad disappointing.

For those who are interested, you can head on over to Microsoft’s website for the details and to purchase it.
