These days with all kinds of hacks and data breaches taking place, it is important to choose strong passwords. However, strong passwords can sometimes be a bit too complex for you to remember, and that’s where password managers can come in handy, and that’s something Microsoft is apparently looking to create.

According to reports, it appears that in the latest beta version of the Microsoft Authenticator app, there is now an option for users to auto-fill passwords. This means that users will be able to store their passwords in the Authenticator app and on their mobile devices, use it to help them remember and auto-fill login credentials for their favorite websites and services.

For those unfamiliar, Microsoft Authenticator is an app that allows users to unlock accounts through two-factor authentication. It adds an extra layer of security on top of your usual passwords so that even in the event someone guessed your password, they still would not be able to log into your account unless verified through the Authenticator app.

While password managers aren’t new, they are starting to grow in popularity and we’re seeing companies like Dropbox introduce password manager capabilities.
