Due to the pandemic, a lot of us are no longer to hang out with our friends as often as we would like, which means that certain group activities like watching TV shows and movies are off the table, or are they? If you are a Hulu on-demand subscriber, you’ll be pleased to learn that the company has since released its watch party tool for all users.

The feature was initially launched earlier this year where it was made available for those who opted for the no-ads subscription feature. The company then temporarily allowed its ad-supported customers to try out the feature for 10 days, but now the company has announced that it’s pretty much available to all users and is no longer in the test phase.

According to Hulu, “Today, we’re officially launching Hulu Watch Party for Hulu and Hulu (No Ads) subscribers on Hulu.com. Viewers can now safely connect with their friends and family from the comfort of their homes to watch thousands of titles from Hulu’s on-demand streaming library.”

Hulu is not the first video platform to allow for users to have watch parties together, where users will be able to watch and sync their shows together even if they’re not in the same location. This has always been kind of useful for those who live apart from each other, although now with the pandemic still raging on, it might still come in handy.
