Last year it was revealed in leaked photos that it seems that the Sony PS5 could offer up more customizability in terms of design due to the plates being removable. This led to some companies offering to create custom PS5 plates, but this was quickly shut down as Sony sent them legal letters asking them to desist.

However, it appears that Toronto-based company, dbrand, doesn’t seem to care and have launched their own custom PS5 skins. For those who are unfamiliar with dbrand, the company specializes in creating skins for gadgets like smartphones, consoles, and laptops, so it didn’t really come as a surprise that they would eventually create one for the PS5.

The initial design for the PS5 skin is called “Darkplates” and features a matte black stealth look which we have to say looks incredibly awesome. It seems that the company also doesn’t seem to be too worried about Sony potentially going after them as the tagline on the website reads, “Go ahead, sue us.”

That being said, it is rather daring of the company and we’re not sure how is it that they’re so confident about not being sued. However, if you like the look and want to get your hands on the Darkplates, head on over to the company’s website and place your pre-orders for it.
