Last week, it was prematurely revealed that Apple was working on a Chrome extension for iCloud passwords. The good news is that if you were interested in checking it out, the extension has since been released and is available for download from Google’s Chrome Web Store where other extensions are usually available from.

For those who are unfamiliar about what this does, basically this extension will work together with the iCloud Keychain feature for iOS and macOS devices. It saves login information for users and helps them fill it in when they need to log into a website. Previously, taking advantage of the iCloud Keychain meant that you had to use an iOS device or a macOS device.

However, by bringing it to Chrome in the form of an extension, it means that even non-iOS and non-macOS users can take advantage of it. After all, there are many iPhone or iPad users who use Windows as their computer operating system of choice, so letting users have access to their passwords and login credentials that they’ve already stored in iCloud will be immensely useful.

The best part of it is that it will sync between your devices, so if you’re logging into a new website or service on your computer, you can save those passwords to the iCloud Passwords extension, which will then sync up with it on your iPhone or iPad or another macOS computer.
