IKEA is a company that many of us probably know for its affordable furniture, but it seems that to keep up with the times, the company has expanded on its offerings and have since created a line of gaming-related furniture in a collaboration with ASUS’s Republic of Gamers. The lineup will consist of six product families: HUVUDSPELARE, UTESPELARE, MATCHSPEL, GRUPPSPEL, UPPSPEL, and LÅNESPELARE.

According to IKEA, “ROG has in-depth knowledge of the gaming industry and want to find new ways to make gaming blend into the home. Combining the best of these two worlds, the collaboration aimed to democratise the gaming experience, by creating relevant, functional, beautiful and affordable products and complete gaming solutions to make it easier for everyone to create the setup and the home they want.”

The company claims that each of the product families will offer a gaming desk and a gaming chair, but they will all be priced differently to meet different needs. It’s actually a pretty cool idea, although we have to wonder how they might hold up to other brands that have also created their own gaming furniture.

The collection has since been launched in IKEA China. It will be making its way to IKEA Japan in May, and the rest of the world should expect to see the collection in October later this year.
