Back in January, much to everyone’s surprise, Microsoft announced the business-focused Microsoft Surface Pro 7+. We say that everyone was surprised because many had assumed that Microsoft would follow up on the Surface Pro 7 with the Surface Pro 8, but instead chose to launch the Surface Pro 7+.

For those who might be wondering if this means that the Surface Pro 8 could be pushed to 2022, there is a chance it could still launch later this year. This is according to a report from Windows Latest who claims that the Surface Pro 8 could still be on track for a launch in 2021, but we might have to wait a while.

This is because according to their sources who are familiar with the development of the device, Microsoft will most likely be holding an event in October or November later this year where the computer will be announced. The report claims that the Surface Pro 8 is expected to come with a new design, and obviously hardware upgrades.

This report should be taken with a grain of salt for now as Microsoft has yet to officially announce anything, but if you’re a fan of the Surface Pro series, then you might need to wait until much later this year before you can get an upgrade.
