Back in 2020, there were reports claiming that Samsung was planning on ending its Galaxy Note series. The rumors are a bit messy but for fans of the lineup, it looks like Samsung has officially confirmed that no, they will not be putting an end to the Galaxy Note lineup, but it’s not all good news yet.

During Samsung’s shareholder’s meeting, it was reported that Samsung mobile chief DJ Koh said that there will not be a new Galaxy Note handset this year due to chip shortages. However, he did mention that they will be delaying the launch until 2022. While Koh does not explicitly mention the rumors, his statement more or less confirms that the Note lineup will continue to live on.

According to Koh, “Galaxy Note is an important product category to us that has been continuously loved by consumers for the past 10 years in the global market. The S Pen user experience is an area that Samsung’s mobile business has worked harder on than anybody else. Their launch timing may be different, but we will make sure that we don’t let Galaxy Note consumers down.”

Like we said, the rumors have been a bit all over the place with some claiming that the Note lineup will end in 2021, while others predicted 2022. Either way, at least for now, we know that even in 2022 we should be able to look forward to a brand new Note handset.
