PC gamers might be familiar with the Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2 series, and might also be excited about the upcoming third game in the series. However, while we are waiting for an official release date for the third title, PC gamers might be interested and possibly excited to learn that Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance will be getting a PC port after all these years.

For those unfamiliar, Dark Alliance is part of the Baldur’s Gate series that was originally released on consoles back in 2001. The game has made it onto almost every console in existence, like with the PS2, the original Xbox, and even modern day consoles like the Nintendo Switch (not yet released, but it has never been ported onto the PC until now.

The announcement was made by Black Isle Studios, who for those unfamiliar was the publisher for the Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2 titles as well as the Dark Alliance series. The game is kind of dated so it will be interesting to see how well it holds up on modern day systems, but for gamers who have been looking forward to replaying it, this is good news.

The tweet suggests that the game will be launched later this year but no specific dates have been mentioned, so we’ll just have to wait and see. As for Dark Alliance 2, the publisher has expressed interest but nothing concrete has been decided yet.
