Ever since Clubhouse first launched, the social networking platform was pretty much exclusive to iOS devices and was also invite-only. The company did announce their plans to eventually bring the app to Android, and the good news is that it looks like the wheels have already started turning.

In a post shared on Notion, Clubhouse has announced that they have already started to beta test the Android version of the app. They note that the beta isn’t live for everyone just yet and is only available to a small handful of users, so if you can’t find a way to get in yet, don’t worry as it should eventually open up to more users in the future.

According to Clubhouse, “Android is not yet live, but we started rolling a rough beta version out to a handful of friendly testers. If you hear someone saying they are using Clubhouse on the official Android app, please give them a warm welcome! We cannot wait to welcome more Android users to Clubhouse over the coming weeks.”

We’re not sure if the Android version will still rely on the invite system like the iOS version does, so we’ll just have to wait and see. There is no timeline when the Android beta will open up to more users so check back with us at a later date for more details.
