Are you subscribed to YouTube TV? If you are, then you might be interested to learn that YouTube has announced a new subscription option for YouTube TV called 4K Plus. As the name implies, this new tier will allow users to stream content in 4K resolution as well as a bunch of other features.

According to YouTube, “With 4K Plus, you’ll have access to watch major sports events this summer in 4K, plus live content from networks like NBC and ESPN, sports like college football and basketball later this year and on-demand content from FX, Discovery Networks, Tastemade and more.”

In addition to now being able to stream videos in 4K, the new 4K Plus tier will also give users the ability to download shows so that they can watch it offline. You’ll be able to save content to your phone or tablet so that you can watch your shows with you even when you’re on the move. There will also be unlimited streams at home, meaning that more devices can stream simultaneously.

This is versus the regular version of YouTube TV where it was capped at three simultaneous streams. In terms of price, YouTube TV’s 4K Plus tier will be priced at $20 a month, but for new subscribers, YouTube will be offering a one-month free trial and subsequent subscription rates of $9.99 a month for the first year.
