Some of you might be familiar with Arlo and their home security camera and video doorbell kits. As Arlo’s products are HomeKit compatible, this means that users can expect certain things in terms of viewing videos, storing them, and more. However, in case HomeKit isn’t enough for your needs, Arlo has announced new subscription plans.

There will be two options for users to choose from. This includes the Arlo Secure and the more expensive Arlo Secure Plus. They are priced at $9.99 and $14.99 a month respectively and will give users access to more features beyond what’s offered and supported with HomeKit. This includes the recording and storing of video in the cloud at 2K and 4K resolution.

This might be useful because in case you need to access older footage, having them stored at a higher quality will be better if you need to see more details. There are also features like object detection that uses AI to recognize things like packages, people, and vehicles, and also emergency response services where emergency agents can help verify if users need fire, police, or medical services.

If you have yet to get into the Arlo ecosystem, note that new Arlo purchases will come with a free three-month trial to Arlo Secure Plus, so that might be a good way of trying the service out before deciding if you want to subscribe.
